Canadian Open 2011

JH to Snowbird...


So I had an awsome week in Jackson Hole good snow and nice weather. Did some hiking/sidestep and it was super nice! No comp unfortianetly there were to many competitors...


Today we had another day on the road driving from JH. WY to Snowbird. UT. It took about 6h.

FUN DAY...


First day on my new skis. I just got them yesterday and mounted them this morning. Its a pair of Moment Bibby 190. I really like them super fun skis!

We are traveling alot...

Finals and Hot Springs...

The finasl went great. I did my rund just as i wanted to. Ive noticed that my legs isnt in their best shape but ive only been skiing for 2 weeks so it should be better pretty soon.
So the finals was held at Mt Roberts a 2min sled ride and 10min hike from Red Mountain.

The start of the venu was VERY steep and I were so scared when it was my turn to ski. But i made it all the way down on my feet. Im happy about my run but unfotunately the judges didnt. i improved my score from the qualils but it wasnt enough i ended up at 22 palce. But anyway i had so much fun!

Today we had a day of and went to Antworths hot springs. It was realy cool. They had an big pool and an big cave with realy warm water in. About 40 degres C. 

Got stopped by the police. Not for speedeing he just thought that it was weird that we didint have any licenspates. He checked our papers and sent us away.

Tomorrow we are hopefully going back to the states it depends on if the USA will fix the ESTA site so we can warn them that we are comming.

Quali day...


Okey so today I have been upp on the mountain just waiting to do the run of my life.
Not really been standing in the cold all day just so I can ski my quali run for the Canadian Open.


It went well stayed on my feet and made it all the way down. At the moment im in the 21st place for tomorrows venu at Mount Roberts. Its been such poor visibility the last days so I havent been abel to take a look at the venu yet I hope the weather clears up.


Things are really starting to turn for the better. The van got towed to the tire shop and is gonna be ready tomorrow. My memmory card broke so I bought a new one and the edge on my ski is broken as well. But I might be abel to get a new pair on the warranty :D


Getting up at 6am tomorrow... aaaaahhhhhhh....

First day in Red...

This was an awsome day! Some fresh snow over night, about 10 cm.
When we got to the resort this morning I went to registration to pick up our lift tickets.
And then we started shreding pow!
It was so nice super deep in some places.

Red Mountain has some really nice terrain! Seems like endless possibilities.
I also got one inspection run in the venu looks nice and I think i have my line spotted for tomorrows comp. (http://www.canadianopenfreeskiing.com/)

Had an awsome day untill we got back to the car and saw that our tire was flat like a pankake!

Leaving Revy...


This morning it was time to head on down to Red Mountain and Rossland! The drive down was surprisingly good. Clear roads all the way down and nice weather.


It took us about 5h to get here.
Rossland is a small town very cosy and butiful.


We are going to stay at an hostel for four nights during the Canadian Open. Im going to compete on thursday. Just hope that this time i will stay on my feet!


Time to go to bed. Venu inspection tomorrow.. YEY!

Revy...


Revy is so awsome! Super deep snow atm.
Today they opened Greely bowl. It has been closed for a coupel of days during the storm.
We went up pretty early and started hiking towards Greely. When we got to the top there were only 3 tracks before us so we were super exited!


Started shreding down and it just keept getting deeper! Had so much fun and totally forogt about my crash in the qualis :D

Traveling and comp day...


Okej as you might now we are in Revy right now. It has been dumping (snowing alot) for the last three days. I´ve never seen this much snow. EVER!

Ah well the drive from SLC was horribel. Good roads up to the boarder and then it started snowing. There were so much snow on the road and loads of trucks!


It took us three days to get here but it was so worth it!

So today the qualifier for FWT at Revy was held in seperate reality.
I had a good run until i fell at the bottom of the venu. There were loads of snow in the competiton area so soft landings and i had really fun!
At the bottom I took a chans at a jump and it didnt pay off. I was going kinda big but there were a tree in my landing. So i crashed into it and fell. Im ok just a bit soar.

I dint make the cut for tomorrow but im not sad just some more days to shred the POW POW!!

I dont have an good internet connection right now but as soon as I get it I will post some vids!

This was an exiting day to say the least!
The car is working fine not to good on the ice. But now we got four snowchains to put on so we should be fine.


ATM we are in Spokane and tomorrow hopefylly in REVY!!!

On the road again...


Yesterday we bought a car in SLC. An Chewy Astro AWD! Awsome.
At the moment we´r in Pocatello and hopefully we will arrive in Revy this evening if everything goes as planed :D

Finally in SLC...

After an 30h jorney im finally here. Had some problems to say the least. At first the plane from Stockholm was 1h late so we missed the plane from Paris to Chicago.
But they put me on another plane to NY and then to SLC.

First day in SLC I woke up to this.
