Surf...


The weather wasn't good enough for touring so we went surfing instead. Just one hour from Kabelvåg there is a place called Unsta where there is some good surfing to be had.
Rented a wetsuit and board at Unsta camping they were really nice to us!


The waves wasn´t big at all but I'm not that good at surfing so I din´t mind. Had a lot of fun!

After the comp in Riksgränsen me, Erik, Fredrik and Mattias went even further north in to Norway. More specific Lofoten. Just a short drive from Riks about 4h sweet!

So I got home yesterday after a long drive. But more on that later.
NM went well made it to the finals so I'm stoked about that! Even more stoked about being abel to push myself like i did.. I ended up 22nd out of 120 men. Not to bad if you ask me!

NM 2012: Herrar alpin - Finalåk 2 (Ravinen) - Freeride

Yes i qualified for the finals! So i got to ski a few more runs. Awesome!

So todays mission was Insteget and Ravinen. Two runs today was intense a lot of hiking and being nervous. I think we started at 10.30am and I got home at 6pm a long day! 
The weather was amazing! Sun all day long and some wind the snow was good as well so the skiing was super fun!

Two runs today.. First Insteget Right out the gate I had a big cliff called Äventyrsklippan (adventure cliff) then i were going to Ögat (The eye) but i had to much speed so I didn't make it to that one. So i had to change my line and threw a 360 of a smaller instead. Skied fast in-between some small rocks and finished with a cornice drop.

Ravinen were in the shade all day so the snow was cold and soft. Started with some technical skiing between rocks then of to a cornice dropped that. Then further down there was a big cliff.. STOMP.. hard right lining up for the last one and I threw one of the biggest 360s of my life.

The results from today will not be posted until tomorrow due to tomorrows weather. They are not sure if they can do a final so they want to save it for the after party.

Yesterdays weather was crappy as hell! All the lifts were closed so we had to play some more pingpong. Witch is fun but not as fun as skiing!

But later in the evening the wind died down and we went for some night skiing.
Riksgränsen have night skiing between 10pm and 1am.

Downdays makes skiers go crazy.. 10pm

Todays qualification was great! Sun slush and awesome skiing. I had a lot of fun during my run today so I'm exited about the results. Hopefully i get to ski tomorrow in Insteget and Ravinen. Otherwise i just have to drink beer and thats not to bad!

So the day after my arrival the weather sucked! Snowing (good) hard winds and no visibility at all. So we decided to stay of the slopes and go hang out at the hotel. Playing pingpong..

 But yesterday was completely different the sun was shining and we even got some powder to ski. Skied hard all day so today I'm really sore but its always a nice feeling!

The typical gang skiing in riksgränsen is on! So much fun to ski around with a lot of good friends and meeting new ones as well.

Looong way to go but now I'm finally here. 92 mil 2 mooses 1 red fox 10-100 reindeers and 1 bird to the extra light = broken!
But its beautiful as always. Epic weather when we arrived but it started snowing later in the evening.

Åre and AS1000...

Back from Norway and drove up to Åre. Haven't been there before so I were exited to go. We had awesome weather for two days and great skiing! I really enjoyed Åre loads of good skiing and friends. Fun times!

Drove down to Funäs after Åre to finish up their season. Had a great time with some skiing and working at AS1000. Got some touring done as well. Its funny that they close so soon. I have never seen such a good snowpack this late in the season.

 Right now I'm in Rättvik with my parents resting up for the last skiing of the season. Going to Riksgränsen in a week for SBMC and the best season end in the world! YES!
